An article on medium.com, 28th October 2024, by an anti-zionist jewish woman, describing her journey to the truth about Zionism, and why, as a Jew, she turned against Israel. (article)
The Medium.com article makes some outlandish claims but gives no references to supporting documents/evidence. So, to test the ideas I have added footnotes listing what evidence I could find by internet searches. IB

For a long time, I only had dim and benign preconceptions about Israel, like most people with some European Jewish-Polish ancestry in the West. Gradually, through speaking to anti-Zionist Jewish friends, and reading historians like Ilan Pappé1**, Rashid Khalidi2** and Avi Schlaim3**, I came to know the incontrovertible and ugly truth.
The only light here is that my generation and educated Jews worldwide, such as progressive groups like Jewish Voice for Peace, are finally waking up to the monstrosity that is Israel and organizing for its destruction. Most of its so-called "citizens" have second homes in the US, EU, UK and Russia, and dual passports, so Israel is a colony in the purest sense and the colonists there will have little inconvenience abandoning their squatting and theft of Palestinian land and returning to their home countries. Many of these so-called "Israelis" are South Asians, Thais, Chinese, Vietnamese, Ethiopian and Yemeni Jews, Ukrainian and Russian Orthodox Christians. Quite what right any of these non-indigenous people have to be enjoying a free lunch on Palestinian land can only be explained by the bribes and pressures utilized AIPAC10** and affiliate on our lawmakers, which is a blatant undermining of our democacy and an interference with our elections on an industrial scale. In short, this is a rotten mafia terror complex, enabled by a web of bribery and corruption. The Zionist complex is a stain and a parasite on our humanity, and the sooner it is eradicated and dismantled, the more we can focus on genuine communal issues like health care, climate change and rooting out decades of corruption on the Hill enabled by vested interests, like Big Pharma, Big Tech, the Military-Industrial complex, which are just yet more grift of tax dollars, and of a piece with the vampiring of our tax dollars and sovereignty by Zionist gangsters.

1. Ilan Pappé (1954- ), is an Israeli historian, political scientist, and former politician. He has written extensively on the 1948 Palestinian expulsion and flight. He work makes the case that the expulsions were the result of a systematic ethnic cleansing.
He left Israel in 2008 after being condemned in the Knesset and receiving several death threats. (Wikipedia)
2. Rashid Khalidi (1948- ), is a Palestinian-American historian of the Middle East and the Edward Said Professor Emeritus of Modern Arab Studies at Columbia University. In his book Palestinian Identity, Khalidi argues that a Palestinian national consciousness had it origins near the beginning of the twentieth century.
"Every other single place on the face of the earth is in support of the Palestinians, yet all of them together aren't a hill of beans compared to the United States and Israel, because the United States and Israel can basically do anything they please. They are the world superpower, they are the regional superpower." (Wikipedia)
3. Avi Shlaim (1945- ), is an Israeli and British historian of Iraqi Jewish descent. He is one of a group of Israeli scholars who put forward critical interpretations of the history of Zionism and Israel. In 2009 he published an open letter condemning Israel's role in the Gaza War
In Three Worlds: Memoirs of an Arab-Jew, he delivers "undeniable proof of Zionist involvement in the terrorist attacks" which prompted a mass exodus of Jews from Iraq between 1950 and 1951. He believed that most of the bombings against Jews in Iraq were the work of Mossad. He believed Mossad took these actions to quicken the transfer of 110,000 Jews in Iraq to the then newly created state of Israel. (Wikipedia)
4. David Ben-Gurion (1886-1973), was the primary national founder of the State of Israel as well as its first prime minister. He largely led the movement for an independent Jewish state in Mandatory Palestine.
His advocacy for Zionism developed early in his life, leading him to become a major Zionist leader, and the executive head of the World Zionist Organization in 1946. Under Ben-Gurion's leadership, the 1948 Arab–Israeli War saw the uniting of the various Jewish militias into the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and the expulsion and flight of a majority of the Palestinian Arab population. (Wikipedia)
5. Yitzhak Gruenbaum (1879-1970), was a noted leader of the Zionist movement among Polish Jewry in the inter-war period and of the Yishuv in Mandatory Palestine. Gruenbaum was the first Interior Minister of the State of Israel.
Stated at a 1942 gathering in pre-state Israel (Yishuv) about rescue of Jews in Europe: "I think it is necessary to state here – Zionism is above everything"; and; "I will not demand that the Jewish Agency allocate a sum of 300,000 or 100,000 pounds sterling to help European Jewry. And I think that whoever demands such things is performing an anti-Zionist act." (Wikipedia)
6. IB: I have not been able to find any substantiating documents for this 'ransom of £20,000.' Though there is evidence of a proposed ransom for goods to aid the German war effort in 1944. (Cambridge U. Press)
7. The Irgun, officially the National Military Organization in the Land of Israel, was a Zionist paramilitary organization that operated in Mandatory Palestine between 1931 and 1948. It was an offshoot of the older and larger Jewish paramilitary organization Haganah. The Irgun was described as a terrorist organization by the United Nations, British, and United States governments; in media such as The New York Times newspaper; as well as by the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry.
The organization committed acts of terrorism against Palestinian Arabs, as well as against the British authorities, who they regarded as illegal occupiers. Two of the most infamous operations for which the Irgun were known: the bombing of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem on 22 July 1946 and the Deir Yassin massacre that killed at least 107 Palestinian Arab villagers, including women and children, were carried out together with Lehi on 9 April 1948.
Albert Einstein, in a letter to The New York Times in 1948, compared Irgun and its successor Herut party to "Nazi and Fascist parties" and described it as a "terrorist, right wing, chauvinist organization". (Wikipedia)
8. The Stern gang, a perjorative name for Lehi — "Fighters for the Freedom of Israel". Its avowed aim was to evict the British authorities from Palestine by use of violence, allowing unrestricted immigration of Jews and the formation of a Jewish state. (Wikipedia)
Lehi split from the Irgun militant group in 1940 in order to continue fighting the British during World War II. It initially sought an alliance with Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany but in 1942, began to move towards support for Joseph Stalin's Soviet Union and the ideology of National Bolshevism.
In 1948, Lehi and the Irgun were jointly responsible for the massacre in Deir Yassin of at least 107 Palestinian Arab villagers, including women and children. Lehi assassinated Lord Moyne, British Minister Resident in the Middle East, and made many other attacks on the British in Palestine. On 29 May 1948, the government of Israel, having inducted its activist members into the Israel Defense Forces, formally disbanded Lehi, though some of its members proceeded to assassinate Folke Bernadotte, a UN Security Council mediator, some months later. The new Israeli government declared Lehi a terrorist organization, arrested some 200 members and convicted some of the leaders. However, a general amnesty to Lehi members was granted by the government in 1949. In 1980, Israel instituted a military decoration, an "award for activity in the struggle for the establishment of Israel", the (Lehi ribbon).
9. Plan Dalet. A Zionist military plan executed during the 1948 Palestine war for the conquest of territory in Mandatory Palestine in preparation for the establishment of a Jewish state. It played a central role in the 1948 Palestinian expulsion and flight known as the Nakba.
The plan was a set of guidelines to take control of Mandatory Palestine, declare a Jewish state, and defend its borders and people, including the Jewish population outside of the borders, "before, and in anticipation of" the invasion by regular Arab armies. It specifically included gaining control of areas wherever Yishuv populations existed, including those outside the borders of the proposed Jewish state.
The plan's tactics involved laying siege to Palestinian Arab villages, bombing neighbourhoods of cities, forced expulsion of their inhabitants, and setting fields and houses on fire and detonating TNT in the rubble to prevent any return. Zionist military units possessed detailed lists of neighborhoods and villages to be destroyed and their Arab inhabitants expelled. (Wikipedia)
10. AIPAC, The American Israel Public Affairs Committee, is a pro-Israel lobbying group that lobbys the Congress) and executive branches) of the United States on issues and legislation related to Israel.
Founded in 1954, up until 2021, AIPAC did not raise funds for political candidates itself, but its members raised money for candidates through political action committees unaffiliated with AIPAC (and by other means). Since 1990. pro-Israel interests have contributed $56.8 million in individual, group, and soft money donations to federal candidates and party committees.
AIPAC has supported loyal incumbents and has worked to unseat pro-Palestinian incumbents or candidates perceived to be unsympathetic to Israel. According to former representative Brian Baird (D-Washington), "Any member of Congress knows that AIPAC is associated indirectly with significant amounts of campaign spending if you're with them, and significant amounts against you if you're not with them."
AIPAC also lobbies for financial aid from the United States to Israel, helping to procure up to $3 billion in aid yearly, making Israel the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign assistance since World War II. (Wikipedia)
